PROSSER -- A Prosser woman died Thursday morning after colliding with a semi-truck on Highway 221.
Flor Rodriguez Galindo, 44, was driving south on the highway when her 2001 Honda Accord drifted off the right shoulder of the road at about 4:39 a.m., the Washington State Patrol said.
She overcorrected her vehicle, driving into the northbound lane of traffic, and was struck by the semi-truck.
Highway 221 between Highway 22 and Sellards Road was closed at 4:45 a.m. and reopened around 11:30 a.m., the state Department of Transportation said.
Rodriguez Galindo, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The driver of the 2003 Freightliner semi, Leonardo R. Ventura, 53 and his passenger Hector J. Ventura, 21, were not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
