Parents in the Richland School District will be able to register children for kindergarten at their elementary schools beginning Thursday.
At the time of registration, parents must provide a state-certified birth certificate, an immunization record and proof of address.
To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be at least 5 years old on or before Aug. 31.
School boundary information is available at rsd.edu. Click on the "Resources" tab to download an "Elementary School Boundaries" map.
Children who will turn 5 between Sept. 1 and Dec. 1, and who are socially, emotionally and intellectually ready for kindergarten, can take an early entrance test, which is offered once a year in mid-August.
