A run/walk event in memory of a Montana woman missing since Jan. 7 will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Columbia Point Marina in Richland.
Gail Gilbertson, Southridge High School's success coordinator and a friend of Sherry Arnold, is organizing the event. Arnold is believed to have been abducted during an early morning run and is believed to be dead.
The Richland event is one of several being held around the country to honor Arnold, who is a teacher and active runner, Gilbertson said in an email.
There is no cost to be in the run/walk, Gilbertson said. Details about the event and others being held around the country can be found at shutupandrun.net.
