A Pasco man accused of going into his neighbor's home and shooting him pleaded innocent Tuesday.
Froilan Campos-Gonzalez Jr., 54, is charged with first-degree assault. His neighbor Greggory Warehime, 24, suffered a spinal cord injury and remains in a Spokane rehabilitation center.
Campos-Gonzalez's trial is set for Feb. 29, but he is expected back in court next week so his defense attorney Jim Egan can ask about lowering his $250,000 bail, said Franklin County Prosecutor Shawn Sant.
Campos-Gonzalez was arrested Dec. 8 after he allegedly confronted Warehime about shooting BB's at his Coolidge Court home. Pasco police have said the dispute may have involved some dogs.
Warehime, a medical assistant and nursing student, said Campos-Gonzalez pulled out a pistol and shot him once in the stomach, documents said.
Campos-Gonzalez told police that he was being choked by Warehime and pushed him away but then shot when Warehime allegedly came at him again, documents said.
Man accused of kidnapping, sexual assault pleads innocent
Bail was set Tuesday at $100,000 for a Richland man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 19-year-old Pasco woman.
Jonathan Keenan Gordon, 31, pleaded innocent to first-degree rape and second-degree assault with sexual motivation. His trial is Feb. 22.
She told Franklin County sheriff's deputies that Gordon and another man took her to a Pasco apartment, where Gordon raped her while being held down by the second man, documents said.
Charges were dismissed against the second man in November but could be refiled.
