Expect a wetter than usual November in the Tri-Cities, according to the National Weather Service.
However, temperatures should be near normal.
Normal highs are 58 degrees at the start of the month falling to44 degrees at the end of the month. Normal lows fall from 38 degrees to32 degrees in November. Normal precipitation for the Tri-Cities in November is 1 inch.
October was warmer and drier than usual in the Tri-Cities, according to the weather service. The temperature fell below freezing on two days, as recorded in Kennewick.
The average temperature was 56.3 degrees, which was 2.3 degrees above normal. High temperatures averaged 65.9 degrees, which was 0.1 degree above normal. The highest temperature was 79 degrees on Oct. 2.
Low temperatures averaged 46.7 degrees, which was 4.6 degrees above normal. The lowest temperature was 31 degrees on Oct. 26.
At Hanford the highest temperature was 81 degrees on the first day of the month and the lowest was 23 degrees on Oct. 26. It was one of three days with temperatures below freezing, according to data from the Hanford Meteorology Station.
Hanford reported no high or low daily records during the month based on data maintained for the site back to 1945.
Precipitation in the Tri-Cities totaled 0.48 inch during October, which was 0.12 inch below normal, according to the weather service.
The heaviest rainfall, 0.18 inch, was recorded Oct. 16.
At Hanford, 0.77 inch of rainfall was recorded, with the heaviest rainfall on Oct. 5 when 0.22 inch fell.
The peak wind gust for the month was 38 mph at Hanford, recorded on Oct. 6 and 22. In the Tri-Cities, it was 45 mph on Oct. 22.
