DUI cause of crash on I-182, troopers say

A Pasco driver who struck another car from behind and caused it to roll Tuesday on Interstate 182 in Pasco was cited for driving under the influence and hit-and-run.

Dina K. Aguilar, 30, was driving westbound on the interstate about 5:15 p.m. in a 2009 Kia Spectra when she hit the back of a car driven by Yaroslav P. Sereda, 20, of Pasco, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Sereda's 2000 Mitsubishi Montero was pushed into the median where it rolled into the eastbound lanes of I-182. Aguilar then drove away from the scene of the accident, the patrol reported.

Yaroslave was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with injuries. His condition wasn't available Tuesday night. Aguilar had minor injuries, the state patrol reported.

Both cars were totaled. The accident backed up traffic in both directions.
