Applications are now available for the second annual Natural Resource Career Camp for Young Women.
The camp is Sept. 22-24 at the Corporation Guard Station on the Walla Walla Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. The camp is a collaboration between Kennewick's Tri-Tech Skills Center and the U.S. Forest Service.
This camp is free for 15- to 18-year-old women who currently are enrolled at a Tri-City area high school.
Students will learn about stream ecology, law enforcement investigations, fire suppression, fire ecology and more.
Applications are due Sept. 12 and are available at fs.usda.gov/umatilla.
