The 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place in the Tri-Cities on Sept. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The three-mile walk will begin at the Clover Island Lighthouse in Kennewick.
There is no registration fee, but walkers are encouraged to donate and raise money for the Alzheimer's Association, which provides services to those affected by Alzheimer's, advocates for policy changes and research funding, and tries to help advance research in prevention, treatment and cure of the disease.
The walk's website shows $35,427 has been raised so far.
