Car wash, drawing to benefit newborn

Ty's Tavern in West Richland is sponsoring a car wash and drawing from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday to help pay the medical bills for newborn Aiden N. Scoville, who had heart surgery Aug. 14.

He was born Aug. 4 at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. Nine days later, his parents, Sarah Johanns and Levi Scoville of Benton City, rushed Aiden to the emergency room where doctors discovered a heart defect. The baby was flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane where he had open heart surgery to repair an infracardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous return defect.

Aiden still has some issues with his lungs and kidneys which doctors are monitoring.

An account has been set up at U.S. Bank under Levi M. Scoville, 253555345029. This account is deposit only, and all funds will be donated directly to Aiden and his family.

A Facebook page has been set up for him, go to www.facebook.com and search for Aiden Scoville.
