Nikki Gerds, executive director of the Pasco Chamber of Commerce for the past three years, has resigned.
She starts her new job as customer relations manager with an accounts receivable consulting firm in Kennewick, NCMI Corporation, on Sept. 1.
"This is the first time in 20 years I'll be working outside of Pasco. It'll be strange crossing the bridge every day to go to work," Gerds said.
During her time at the chamber she helped nearly double the membership and increased attendance at events.
