Dispute with Kennewick dad ends in arrest

A 33-year-old Kennewick man who refused to leave his house after allegedly assaulting his father, was arrested 5 1/2 hours later when police got a warrant to enter the home, authorities said.

Kennewick police were called to a home in the 900 block of West Entiat Avenue at 7:30 a.m. Thursday after getting a report about the father-son domestic dispute, said Sgt. Ken Lattin.

Jesse L. Delgado Jr.'s father ran out of the house where they live and called police.

Delgado Jr. refused to open the door when officers arrived, Lattin said.

Once they got a search warrant, they went inside just after 1 p.m. and arrested Delgado Jr. without incident.

He was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of felony harassment domestic violence.
