YAKIMA -- A former Navy plane is among several aircraft that will be featured at a showcase presentation at the McAllister Museum of Aviation on Saturday.
The North American Trojan-28B was used as a training aircraft for fighter pilots. The plane, which is owned by Auburn-based pilot Michael Copp, was used by the Navy from 1955 until the early 1980s.
The showcase will also highlight several other aircraft from local pilots, including single-engine home-built planes from Van's Aircraft.
The free event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum, 2008 S. 16th Ave. in Yakima. Donations to the museum will be accepted.
