Buying tickets to the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo just got easier -- you can get them online this year.
The new eTickets mean the public can go to the fair's website and buy admission tickets as well as carnival wristbands and tickets to any other special event, such as main stage entertainment concerts, demolition derby or the rodeo.
The website also allows fairgoers to choose their reserved seats for the shows.
"It's so much easier, and people won't have to stand in long lines at the box office," said Lori Lancaster, manager of the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo, which runs Tuesday through Aug. 27.

"We've had a lot of requests for this service because people can choose their own seats for the concerts they want to see."
The tickets, which must be printed out at home, will have a bar code that will be scanned at the gate.
That bar code only can be scanned once, which prevents tickets from being photocopied and used again.
"This process also brings the fair into the modern age," Lancaster said.
Because of the digital improvements, fair employees also will have an easier time managing ticket sales and keeping more accurate records, she said.
Booking agents for the entertainers request weekly updates on ticket sale numbers, so the new system makes the process simpler, Lancaster said.
"With eTickets that job becomes much easier. Plus, the convenience of avoiding those long lines makes it a much more pleasant experience for fairgoers," she said.
The eTicket also will be what visitors to the fair purchase at the gate, as well as online.
