A Grandview man was hospitalized in Seattle after crashing into an irrigation pump house Sunday night.
Antonio A. Jaimes, 42, is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the 8:30 p.m. wreck, the Washington State Patrol said.
The collision was on Pleasant Avenue just west of County Line Road in Grandview.
Troopers said Jaimes was going west on Pleasant Avenue when he left the road and struck an irrigation pump house and telephone pole.
Jaimes' 1990 Nissan pickup then spun into the eastbound lane and stopped.
Jaimes was taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital, then flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was in serious condition in the intensive care unit, a hospital spokeswoman said Monday.
