KENNEWICK — A fatal accident involving a dump truck has caused Highway 395 northbound in Kennewick to be closed at 27th Avenue, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The patrol expected the road to be open by 2:30 a.m. after they investigated the incident, the patrol said in a news release.
The accident involved a construction worker and it was just south of West 19th Avenue in Kennewick.
Sgt. Jodi Metz said a 51-year male from Oregon was killed when a dump truck apparently backed over him during nighttime asphalt grinding. The accident happened about 10:30 p.m.
