Well known author and fiber artist Debbie Macomber of Port Orchard will be at Sheep's Clothing from 3 to 5 p.m. today for a book signing.
"She's a New York Times best selling author, usually in the romantic genre, but she also has knitting and crochet pattern books," said Marcia MacDonald, who owns the fiber arts store in Kennewick with her husband, John.
"This is a big deal, this is the first time she's been here," MacDonald said.
Macomber also has her own brand of yarn through Universal Yarns which are carried at Sheep's Clothing along with her pattern books. Her novels will not be available at the store.
"Everyone is welcome to bring up to five books of their own for signing and then "sit and knit or stay and crochet," MacDonald said. "We'll have chairs available, and we can spill out onto the lawn if we need to, as we just hang out for two hours and get to know her."
The store is at 8551 W. Gage Blvd., Suite H, Kennewick.
