Quilters and knitters/ crocheters are welcome to participate in National Make A Blanket Day for Project Linus.
Volunteers will be making blankets for kids -- newborn to age 18 years old -- who are in trauma because of illness, accident or a death in family.
The event is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19 at the Kennewick branch of the Mid-Columbia Libraries on Union Street in the conference room.
If staying all day, bring a sack lunch; drinks and desserts will be available.
There will be quilts to tie, or you may bring your machine and supplies with you to do your own project.
For questions, call 585-6951.
