Tri-Cities Community Health officials announced Friday that CEO Carl Walters II is leaving after two years to "pursue other opportunities."
Chief Operations Officer Diann Kummer has been named interim CEO, according to a memo from Board President Linda Gustafson that was provided to the Herald.
Walters came to the Pasco medical center, formerly known as Community Health Center La Clinica, in March 2009 from St. Louis. He is a former Navy officer who became an administrator at one of Ohio's largest federally qualified health centers.
During his tenure, the Pasco clinic doubled the size of its Fifth Avenue Urgent Care and broke ground on a $7.4 million medical office building that will house behavioral health, dental services, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program and the clinic's call center.
Clinic representatives could not be reached on Friday for comment.
