YAKIMA -- The state Department of Social and Health Services has reached a $6.55 million settlement agreement in a lawsuit filed by six siblings who were abused by their father, mother and the mother's boyfriend.
A trial in the case was scheduled to begin this week, but lawyers for the children and their grandmother announced the settlement instead.
The grandmother was awarded custody of the children in 2000.
Sherry Hill, communications director for the Children's Administration, confirmed the agreement.
