The Washington State Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding the driver of a Peterbilt semi-truck that collided with a small car near Ellensburg on Tuesday and kept driving.
The wreck happened at 4:45 a.m. on Interstate 82, six miles south of town.
Gregory Myers of Yakima was headed west on the highway when he rear-ended a westbound semi-truck and trailer after apparently falling asleep, said investigators.
It took emergency crews an hour to get Myers, 37, out of his mangled 1999 Geo Metro, said WSP Lt. B.S. Martin.
