Girls missing after sleepover found safe

Benton County Sheriff's deputies wasted no time Saturday combing the Reata Road area for two missing 8-year-olds.

The girls were walking home from a sleepover about 9 a.m., and when they hadn't return home by 9:45 a.m., the mother of one girl called 911, said Sgt. Bob Brockman of the Benton County Sheriff's Department.

Within minutes, six deputies converged on the area where the girls last were seen, knocking on doors and stopping people walking down the street to ask if they had seen the girls.

When deputies knocked on one neighbor's door and asked if she had seen these two little girls, the neighbor confirmed that the girls were at her house visiting, Brockman said.
