The high temperature at Hanford on Sunday was 63 degrees, setting a new record for the date.
The previous record high for the date was 61 degrees set in 1974. The Hanford Meteorological Station keeps records back to 1945, making it some of the most complete data in the Tri-City area.
With the warmth came wind. The peak gust at the weather station was 55 mph Sunday. On the top of Rattlesnake Mountain, the sustained wind speed was 81 mph with gusts of 100 mph.
