The Children's Reading Foundation received a $10,000 grant this month from the Mission Support Alliance, the Hanford nuclear reservation's support services contractor.
The money will be used to support the foundation's long-running Books for Babies program, established in 1996.
The program works with Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Kennewick General Hospital and Lourdes Health Network to assemble children's literacy packets for every child born in those hospitals.
