Expect snow to start falling in the Tri-Cities after 4 p.m. today, the National Weather Service says.
Overnight the chance of precipitation is 90 percent, with snow until about 10 a.m. Wednesday, possibly mixed with freezing rain. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible.
Roads for the Wednesday morning commute are expected to be covered with snow and ice, according to the weather service.
Temperatures are expected to rise Wednesday to the upper 30s, turning any precipitation to rain. Rain is likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
