Energy Northwest will discuss the license renewal process for the Columbia Generating Station near Richland at meetings in Pasco and Richland.
The meetings are planned to provide information on the positive impacts of the Northwest's only nuclear power plant and discuss the license renewal that would allow the plant to operate for 20 years more, according to Energy Northwest.
Energy Northwest submitted is license renewal application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission last year. The meetings are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Red lion Hotel, 2525 N. 20th Ave., Pasco, and 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Red Lion Hotel, 802 George Washington Way, Richland.
