The National Weather Service is predicting a 50 percent chance of snow and sleet today in the Tri-Cities. Less than 1 inch of accumulation is expected.
With the weather system comes an end to the stagnant air hanging over the Tri-Cities. It also is bringing warmer temperatures.
The high in the Tri-Cities will be around freezing today, but highs should rise to the upper 30s or even 40 through the rest of the week.
