The Richland City Council on Tuesday voted 6-0 to give City Manager Cindy Johnson a 2 percent raise on her base salary after rating her job performance "exceptional and outstanding."
The council also voted to award Johnson the full $10,000 bonus provided in her contract.
The council initially voted Tuesday night to give Johnson a 3.5 percent raise, as is called for in the city's salary plan, but Johnson asked that council members reduce her increase to 2 percent.
Councilwoman Sandra Kent was absent from the meeting.

Johnson's current annual salary of about $143,800 will increase to about $146,700 a year.
She has been city manager since 2007 when she replaced former City Manager John Darrington.
