The year just ended was the fifth wettest at Hanford since records began being kept in 1945, according to the Hanford Meteorological Station.
It also was only the fifth time that more than 10 inches of precipitation were recorded. Precipitation for 2010 totaled 10.19 inches, which is 146 percent of the normal 6.98 inches. During the wettest year on record, 1995, 12.31 inches were recorded.
Snowfall totaled 15.9 inches, which was close to the normal of 15.4 inches.
Temperatures at Hanford averaged 53.9 degrees, which was slightly above the normal of 53.6 inches. The warmest temperature was 105 degrees on July 9 and the coldest was minus 8 on Nov. 24.
