Not enough people have come forward to save the Three Rivers Children's Museum from closing.
The nonprofit museum's board plans to make a decision mid-January, but so far it hasn't received an outpouring of donations since announcing it may have to shut down.
Jolene Hatke, museum executive director, said the Pasco museum received a few donations, but the help hasn't been significant enough to keep the doors open.
Organizers have cited a lack of continued support, such as corporate sponsorships.

The museum's move last year cleaned out its reserves and resulted in the loss of three months of revenue.
Today the museum will usher in 2011 at noon with a New Year's Eve party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Festivities include party hats and noise makers and snacks.
Admission is $3.75 for adults and $3.25 for kids.
The museum is at 5220 Outlet Drive, in the Broadmoor Square mall, in Pasco. For information, call 543-7866.
