Police on hunt for suspect in bank robbery

Kennewick police are looking for a young man in his late teens or early 20s who robbed Sterling Savings Bank on Vista Way in Kennewick on Monday.

The man walked into the bank at 1:40 p.m., told tellers he had a weapon and ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.

No weapon was ever seen, police said.

The man is described as being 6-foot, thin, with brownish-blond hair and acne scars.

He was last seen wearing a dark hooded coat, gray T-shirt with red writing, dark jeans and black shoes with a white stripe.

Thief steals cologne at mall

Crime Stoppers of Tri-Cities is also looking for help identifying a man who stole $2,000 in cologne from the JC Penney at Columbia Center mall.

The theft happened Sunday, police said.

Multiple vehicles vandalized in Kennewick

Kennewick police received reports of five vehicles vandalized where they were parked overnight Sunday.

Four of the vehicles had punctured tires, and two had smashed windows.

The vehicles were parked in the 800 block of South Beech Street, 400 block of South Yelm Street, 400 block of East Eighth Avenue, 4900 block of Fruitland Street and 200 block of West 48th Avenue.

None of the victims believed they were specifically targeted, police said.

There were no suspects Monday in any of the incidents.

Anyone who may have seen something suspicious is asked to call police.
