The Sexual Assault Response Center/Crime Victim Service Center is looking for volunteers to trained as advocates.
The nonprofit United Way agency relies on volunteers to help run its 24-hour hotline to help with issues of sexual assault and abuse and other crimes.
All you need is a cell or home phone number.
Volunteer advocate training for a total of 32 hours is planned from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 18, 20, 25, 27, and Feb. 4; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 5, and from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 6.
