Christmas came early for Alva Moffatt of Pasco. He stopped off at the Albertsons gas station on 20th Avenue in Pasco on Dec. 11, bought a ticket in the Washington State Lottery game Hit 5 and won $100,000.
Moffatt said when the manager told him that he had won he "jumped up and down like a kid in a candy store."
"I don't think someone could have hit me hard enough to get the smile off of my face," he said.
He went straight to the dentist's office where his wife, Amanda, works to share the good news.

Asked what he might do with the winnings, Moffatt said, "Well, the wife wants a new car; we'll catch up on some old bills; and maybe take a trip to Las Vegas."
