Wet snow and freezing rain in the Mid-Columbia sent cars slipping and sliding Saturday afternoon.
Law enforcement officers were kept busy with dozens of accidents in and around the Tri-Cities as cars slid off the road and in some cases, rolled. Few of the accidents caused injuries, however.
Rainy weather will persist today and Monday in the Tri-Cities. Today the weather service is forecasting a 30 percent chance of rain before 10 a.m. and a 50 percent chance tonight.
The chance of rain Monday in the Tri-Cities is 70 percent.
