The last chance for Benton County residents to drop off unwanted household hazardous waste products for proper disposal is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Richland City Shops, 2700 Duportail St.
Acceptable materials include paints, solvents, cleaners, automotive fluids, pesticides, fertilizers, fluorescent light bulbs and pool or hot tub chemicals. Items not accepted include electronics, tires, appliances, explosives, radioactive materials, asbestos and trash. Proof of Benton County residency is required.
Businesses and small quantity generators must make an appointment to drop off hazardous waste.
