Walmart donated $75,000 and a new refrigerated food delivery truck to Second Harvest recently.
Second Harvest acts as a food bank for food banks, and helps support a network of 275 food banks and meal centers in Eastern Washington and northern Idaho.
Second Harvest will be able to double its capacity to distribute food with the new truck, according to a press release.
The $75,000 will help Second Harvest's mobile food bank program, where fresh produce and other perishable food products are delivered to families in rural and urban Eastern Washington communities with high concentrations of poverty.
