Two Kennewick men were injured after a four-wheeler accident in Mesa on Saturday.

Both received minor injuries from an accident on Lewis Court in Mesa around 6:30 p.m.

The driver, Brian Simonson, 48, was treated and later released from Richland's Kadlec Regional Medical Center. The 44-year-old passenger was not transported to a hospital for injuries.

Simonson will be charged in connection with driving under the influence, said Cpl. Gordon Thomasson of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

Those who operate a four-wheeler while intoxicated can be charged with driving under the influence, just like with other motor vehicles, Thomasson said.
