A 60 percent chance of freezing rain and snow was expected to leave the Tri-City area with ice accumulations of about a quarter-inch by this morning.
The National Weather Service said the snow level was expected to drop to 400 feet, and snow is likely today, possibly mixed with rain or sleet before 10 a.m.
The high temperature today is expected to be around 32 degrees, with snow showers possible during the day.
Only a 20 percent chance of snow showers was predicted for Sunday, with a high around 32 degrees.
