Benton County residents can drop off hazardous household wastes in Richland on Dec. 4-11.
Waste handlers at the Richland City Shops, 2700 Duportail St., will take hazardous materials from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. those days. Acceptable materials include paint, solvents, cleaners, automotive fluids, pesticides, fertilizers, fluorescent light bulbs and pool or hot tub chemicals.
Handlers will not take electronics, tires, appliances, explosives, radioactive materials, asbestos or trash. Proof of Benton County residence is required to drop off waste.
Businesses can drop off waste Dec. 7-10 by calling 521-0023 to make an appointment.
