Pasco school receives computer donations

A middle school in Pasco will be one of five statewide recipients of computers donated by the U.S. Senate.

Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell announced in a news release that 25 surplus computers will be delivered to five Washington schools by Nov. 19. Five of the computers will go to Stevens Middle School.

The donation is made through the Computers for Schools Program, which allows senators to donate up to 25 computers to public schools in their state that have registered with the program. Only public schools are eligible.

The other computers will go to schools in Cathlamet, Seattle, Tonasket and Bremerton.
