The Kennewick Irrigation District and Columbia Irrigation District will elect new members of their boards of directors Dec. 14.
The terms of two directors on each of the districts' boards are expiring, and people interested in replacing them have until 5 p.m. Monday to submit nomination petitions.
As of Friday, three people signed up to run for the two seats on the KID board. They are board President John Jaksch for seat 4, with Dean Dennis and Kirk Rathbun for seat 1, currently held by John Pringle.
Dennis is retired from Hanford. Rathbun, chairman of the KID Water Rates Advisory Board, is a farmer in Kennewick.
Pringle has not indicated if he will seek re-election. He has served on the board since 1983.
In the CID, board President Jerry Sleater intends to run for re-election for seat 2, while David St. John is retiring from seat 3.
As of Friday, James Berger of Kennewick had filed for seat 3 on the CID board.
Each district's board members serve three-year terms.
