3 hurt after driver allegedly runs red light

Three Richland residents were injured in a crash Wednesday caused by a driver who ran a red light in Richland, the Washington State Patrol said.

The collision happened about 2 p.m. on Highway 240 at Swift Boulevard, troopers said.

Josh Miner, 20, was driving west on the highway in his 2008 Mercury Milano when he missed the light and hit a 2000 Mazda Protege turning left to go east on the highway, troopers said.

Miner, along with the driver of the Protege, Dickey Francen, 20, and Francen's passenger, Mykael Hernandez, 18, were treated at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Francen's other passenger, Frank Hernandez, 20, of West Richland, was not hurt.
