6 trees to be planted for forestry month in Pasco

PASCO -- Members of the Mid-Columbia Community Forestry Council will plant six trees Wednesday in observance of Community Forestry Month.

They will be planted at 1 p.m. in Island Park, 8001 Wrigley Drive, Pasco.

The trees were donated by the Mid-Columbia Community Forestry Council, Basin Bloomers Garden Club, Blue Mountain District and Jobs Nursery.

The Mid-Columbia Community Forestry Council is a group of volunteers who work to create more livable communities by providing information about planting and caring for trees where people live, work and play.
