3 Richland schools in state math contest

Teams from three high schools in the Richland School District qualified for state competition during the Math Is Cool High School regional competition Wednesday at Spokane Falls Community College.

A team from Hanford High School placed third in the 11th-12th grade division.

In the ninth-10th grade division, a Richland High team came in second and a group from Hanford High took fourth place.

All three teams now move on to the state competition in Moses Lake on Dec. 11.
