KENNEWICK -- Washington state's public records and open meetings laws will be discussed in a forum presented by the Washington Coalition for Open Government in Kennewick.
The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kennewick branch of the Mid-Columbia Library, 1620 S. Union St.
A panel of speakers include state Auditor Brian Sonntag, state archivist Jerry Handfield, assistant state Attorney General Tim Ford and state Rep. Toby Nixon. Former state Rep. Tom Moak will moderate the program, which will include time for questions.
The forum is sponsored by the Tri-City Herald and the League of Women Voters of Benton and Franklin counties.
