Two students from Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick placed eighth in the nation in the recent 2010 Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Competition in Michigan.
Richard Harvey and Ben Quesnell had to solve "real world repair challenges in a timed, head-to-head match-up" against teams from across the country, a news release said.
Larry Brookes, their instructor, called them "well-trained, highly-skilled and extremely reliable."
"They possess all the traits expected from successful auto professionals," he said in the release.
