Jerrica Fowler capped her year as Miss Tri-Cities with a whirlwind trip to the west side to compete in the Miss Washington 2010 pageant -- and scored a top 10 finish.
"I think everything went really well," she said Monday, back in town after the weekend competition.
It was a busy few days, filled with rehearsals and public appearances. But the 21-year-old from Kennewick won't be getting a rest anytime soon.
She will be on hand during this weekend's 2010 Miss Tri-Cities pageant to pass on her title to someone new. It's the 50th anniversary of the scholarship program, and several former Miss Tri-Cities are expected to attend.

"It's a very special year for us and we're really looking forward to it," said Dot Stewart, pageant executive director.
Ten young women will compete for the title on Saturday. There also are 10 teens competing in Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen on Friday. Both events begin at 7 p.m. Art Fuller Auditorium at Kennewick High, 500 S. Dayton St.
Cost is $15 for Friday, $20 for Saturday or $25 for both nights. Tickets are available at JD's Time Center in Kennewick and at the door.
"It's going to be a very tear-filled weekend, I can guarantee that," Fowler said. "It's been an amazing year. I'm ready to hand the reins over to a new girl. Whoever wins the pageant will have an amazing year in front of her and will make the community proud."
