RICHLAND -- Richland and TGA Wireless Recycling have formed a partnership to collect and recycle old or unneeded cell phones, BlackBerrys, PDAs and data cards.
TGA Wireless Recycling will remove or destroy all personal data, repair broken phones and recycle, retrofit or resell them.
Proceeds will go to the city's Helping Hands Fund, which helps those in need pay their utility bills.
Collection boxes have been placed at Richland City Hall, the Horn Rapids Landfill and the front desk at the Richland Public Library.
For more information, see www.tgaglobal.com and link to recycling or call the city's coordinator at 509-942-7387.
