PASCO -- A canceled flight put LeAnne Peterson's Saturday wedding in jeopardy, almost.
The family panicked when they heard Friday that the groom "Buddy" Gomez a Marine stationed in North Carolina couldn't get on a plane to Pasco from Jacksonville.
"We were in sheer panic," said Peterson's mother Arlene, of Pasco.
An airline employee told Gomez, a 2009 Pasco High graduate, to rush to another airport 150 miles away to catch a flight, she said.

However, the employee forgot to tell him that a replacement plane was on its way.
After tense moments and long phone calls, Arlene helped Gomez get on a flight home via Los Angeles then Salt Lake City.
He arrived at 10:30 a.m. and got married at 4 p.m. to Peterson, a 2010 Pasco grad.
The newlyweds time together will be short. Gomez must return to North Carolina on Monday.
