KENNEWICK -- A Kennewick woman who was scheduled to go on trial Tuesday on allegations she neglected 371 American Eskimo dogs has agreed to delay her trial until Aug. 2.
Ella Stewart, 67, waived her right to a speedy trial.
She is charged with felony and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.
Stewart was arrested in May 2009 after a sheriff's deputy found the small, white dogs living in filthy cages, shopping carts, wooden boxes and other makeshift kennels.
