QUINCY -- Two elderly women died early Sunday from injuries suffered when their car went through a stop sign, crossed a highway and ended up in a ditch.
The 6:56 p.m. Saturday crash occurred on Highway 281, eight miles south of Quincy and not far from Interstate 90.
The women were both from East Wenatchee.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Priscilla W. Podlich was driving a 2004 Honda Accord north on the 281 spur -- also known as Road 1 NW -- that connects to the main highway. The Honda failed to stop at the stop sign before entering the highway and drove across Highway 281, the state patrol said.
